This is Goodbye....

It's confirmed - no more CCA Councilors, no more Student Councilors.

Two student bodies, merge as one - Unity Council.

After 4 years of operation, this blog will not be updating with effect from 12 April 2011 onwards. We would like to thank all councilors that has been part of the blog, whether directly or indirectly. Without your support, this blog will not be a success.

This blog will remain open and free for tags. We may be back though, if they would want to have a Unity Council blog. But whatever it is, it will be open, and will be a place full of memories, pain and laughter.

Once again, thank you everyone! Best of luck for your future endeavors!

anyway hope everybody had lots of fun during 2010 SLC!

and of course learn a lot and know more people during this camp

so let's see wad we actually did during the camp

DAY 1

we had ice breaking games

then learning of few cheer before we had lunch *DIY!*

then our own SURVIVAL challenge rite?

had dinner cheer cheer and cheer before we had movie

and lights out!

and wake up again

A quick update!

It's been a month long since this blog went dead, temporarily of course, but I'm here to brighten it up a little bit.

It's already Term 4, and in a few more weeks you guys will be sitting for your End of Year exams, while your seniors (Sec 4 and 5) are sitting for their National exams. That said, I hope you guys have started preparing for your exams! It's never too late to start now, so while you have the opportunity, grab it quickly.

I know, I know many of us are stressing out on exams, cracking you brains to solve questions, finding connectors to link two sources together, being a pirate to find "x" on mathematical equations, experimenting the law of gravity, seeing chemicals changes state and such. But look on the bright side! Just persevere as holidays are round the corner. You can hang out with your friends finding the real "x" treasure with a map and not with the boring plain A4 paper printed in black and white. Hahaha.

Okay I'm getting lamer(?) now, so I shall stop my post here by wishing everyone, May you pass your exams with flying colours (I didn't know colours have wings xD)! The reward is waiting for you at the end of your exams!

Next week we will be celebrating TEACHERS' DAY( 31 Aug, tuesday)

where sec 2 CCACs have to do the ACES day(hope i didnt spell wrongly correct me ty ^^)
* ps idk what sec 2 CCACs have to report and wear what but should be CCAC shirt also just ask around k ty ^^

and for the sec 3 CCACs will lead the upper sec for a walk outside the school
for sec 3 CCACs do remember to report in school by 7am, in CCAC shirt next tuesday
as we will need to leave for appointed stations

so have fun on teachers' day!

Anyway, It has been made evident that the CCAC are now full steam ahead!
We can now scream at each other "WE'RE BACK BABY, BUT WE'RE BACK AND WE'RE GONNA MAKE MORE NOISE THEN EVER BEFORE." After roughly 2 months of probation, we learned that our public image can be easily tarnished. So please dont do anything to tarnish it and be the outstanding one. Always wear your badges, keep your hair nice and tidy, your uniform prim and proper. Make everybody proud for being the most capable student YOU can be. Lets end this off on a lighter note.

Whatever instructions that are given here, they're only directed to the Sec 4 leaders. Thankyouverymuch.

Starting from tomorrow, Friday, 26/02/2010, the Sec 4 CCACs are to start putting on their badges. Yes, not take out, PUT ON. Any Sec 4 CCACs caught without their badge on would face the consequences. You guys should know best by now.

And so now that the Sec 4s have their badge on, I want you guys to know that it's a privileged. We're carrying the image of the council. So start from the very basic, to have neat, acceptable hairstyles. Likewise, our school attires should be presentable too. The teachers would be keeping an eye on each and everyone of us.

Next meeting would most probably be on 13th March 2010. This is a compulsory meeting for the Sec 4s to attend. It might be the last one too.

Yeap, if u happen to have any questions, feel free to approach your ICs or even the teachers in charge. Have a great weekend!

ATTN: ALL SEC 2, 3 AND 4 CCA COUNCILORS

Listen up.

To protect the privacy of others, no names will be mentioned in this post.

First of all, Discipline. This word has a lot of meaning to all of us. Especially us, the CCA Councilors. Discipline is something not to be treated lightly. For example: Gym and i-Care duty. You MUST be in your CCAC Attire. Walked past the rooms a few times. Walked in and looked around. The Councilor on duty is not wearing his/her CCAC Attire. That councilor still can tell me:"Nevermind one! It's okay! Nevermind!". Excuse us all. So that means the rest will not wear their attire if we just close a blind eye? Nope. Lacking in Discipline. That's all. That is why something called "rules and regulations" are created. If you can follow the school rules, why can't you follow something simpler like the CCAC rules? The rules don't ask for much. The ICs put down this rules for a specific reason. So we can follow, abide and carry out whatever is stated. If a teacher asks you to stand up, will you say" nevermind one! Teacher! Don't need! you can stand yourself!"? Obviously not right? Nobody likes to do something they don't like. But if it's in the benefit of you or us, why not? When ICs or teachers scold, we may say that they're naggy, unreasonable and so. But think. if they didn't scold us, we would have carried out the same mistake twice. They scold us for our own good. This is no joking matter. Reflect, resent, realise.

As to what Wesley has mentioned above, I would like to take this opportunity to reiterate the importance of Discipline. To be frank with you, I am someone who is straight forward. If you were to get hurt by what I'm gonna say, I would want to apologise to you first.

To be honest with you guys, I've never ever seen a problem like this rising up. It is very ridiculous. You think you are in Sec 3 '10 or Sec 2 '10, means you are a senior already? Eventhough the Sec 4s are stepping down real soon, I bet the ICs hope that the discipline level won't be going down, but instead, improving on it.

Rules are there for everyone to follow. It is that hard to follow the rules that are mentioned? Do we have to make you recite and memorise the rules so that you will remember them? How old are you guys? 6? 7? NO. You guys are in your teenage years (14-16) ! You should know what's right and wrong. You can differentiate things. You are mature enough to make decisions. BUT WHY, do you guys always give the bo-chap attitude ?

Frankly speaking, I may not be in any position to scold you guys. I ain't an IC or whatever. But I'm still part of the CCAC family. Many a times I've seen, the current Sec 3s, not in their CCAC attire. You better feel guilty right now. There are many eyes watching on you guys. One day, we may just come up to you and reprimand you for your wrong doings. I have seen, lots of times, the current Sec 3 councillors, not wearing their CCAC shirt during Gym or I-Care duty. What is the reason for this? Is the shirt really that heavy to wear? Or to carry around?

Buck up. Reflect on yourself. You guys are LEADERS. You guys are PICKED by your teachers to be in CCAC, cause they know you have the qualities of a leader. Question: Is this how LEADERS act? By giving bo-chap attitude, say "Aiyah, nevermind la. Duty only".. Is this how YOU guys act? If it's yes, go and give Mr Goh or Mr Teo your CCAC badges back.

Remember, you guys are leaders, not followers. You guys are role models. If you guys fail to obey the rules, then you are not fit to command people. I hope you guys take this as a learning point, and not repeat your mistakes.

Alright, a bit of another announcement coming from me. I will be selecting a new webmaster.
I have not decided yet but..... Me and Uncle Azmee wanna make this a tradition also. To pass down the title of Webmaster every year the webmaster is sec 4.

For the sec 2s, you have your sec one orientation.
Have fun at the same time. For the rest, your turn is over, too bad. :)
Alright. Sec 2s, this year will be your streaming year. Whatever you write on your exam paper determines your destiny to your future. You have to determine which subject you will take for the next few years.
Sec 3s, this year will be the beginning of your preparation for your N and O level papers for next year. Use your time wisely to plan and study. Cause i'm regretting i didn't. :)
Sec 4s, for some of you, this year will be your final year. Your action now will decide your future.

Also, sec 4s will be stepping down somewhere around march if i'm not wrong. PLEASE remember what we have taught you and whatever impression we have left you. And then teach the rest. :)

Studies are important. We study hard a few years, we can enjoy with better benefits in life in the future when we are older. Study hard, play hard.

Alright. Here's just a bit of a summary for camp.

Everybody enjoyed the camp yeah? But this camp isn't about enjoying. This camp is where leaders are made and fully-fledged into a capable one. Every single activity has a purpose. Let me name a few.

Especially, the night walk a.k.a confidence course. The reason we want you to do this without screaming, is to boost your confidence. As we briefed you guys before, everything is all in the mind.

Just as Nicholas said. Close your eyes, and try not to think of a pink elephant. Still, the image of a pink elephant emerges right? Why can't it be purple or turquoise? Because it's all in your mind. If you see something that you think ain't real, it's just a figment of your imagination.

Alright, another great example would be the amazing race. Work as a team to overcome the obstacles we throw at you. Should something wrong happen or a guidance of misinformation, you must think and react fast. What are the other possible solutions? Everything is possible. It's just a matter of whether you want to do it or not.

This is your training. Your BLT. Or known as Basic Leaders Training.

Still, i would like to post a shoutout to Nana for being mentally and emotionally strong during camp. Not everything turns out right. But you made wonders happen.

Nicholas for his sense of tactical thinking. Being the in-charge of the welfare and miscellaneous behind the scenes stuff, you are one of our key backbone.

JingXuan for her encouraging and supporting role to everyone. Your caring nature nurtured us all.

Nora for showing exemplary creativity and her quick wit. Keep it up girl!

And to all the sec 4s for everything we have done, for the effort, blood, sweat, sacrifices and pain we put in together.

This goes out to all Sec 1, 2 and 3 CCACs, there would be a meeting tomorrow, Saturday, the 31st of October 2009.
Meeting time would be 8am for the Sec 3s, and 8.30am for the Sec 1s and 2s.
Attire for Sec 2s and 3s would be their CCAC attire, while Sec 1s can come down in their PE shirt. It's encouraged to wear shorts.
Gather under the bridge by either 8am or 8.30am. Latecomers will be severely dealt with.

For the Sec 3s, do let your class ICs know your overall percentage and conduct ratings latest tomorrow morning. And for class ICs, remember to inform Mr Goh with the two items during tomorrow's meeting. Have a good rest, and see all of you all! :)

Oh well, tmr's the start of the Term break. To those of you who didn't reach their target for CA2, this is the time for you to buck up and revise your work.

Go and form a study group with your friends, be it CCA friends, or school mate. Even better, with your CCAC xD Hahaha, make the regular Saturday meetings a time to STUDY. LOL, k wait, am I sabo-ing you all. What if the CCAC teacher's really take down my suggestion?! :X lol!

Don't be afraid to ask questions. Clarify your doubts with your friends, check with your teachers for solutions.

So, I bet you people have to come back school for extra remedial lessons during the holidays? Haha. It's okay. Just remember to keep your noise level extremely lowwwww, cause it's the Sec 4NA/NT N level examinations during the first three days of holidays.

So we seek your co-operation, not to be too loud, as you might disturb them. So, just remind each other, "Shh, N level exams la, you !@#%!@#" Hahaha, if it goes to the extent whereby you have to whack them, by all means, whack your friend to tell him/her to shut up.

A MediaCorp Actress took a cab from her house to the MediaCorp centre. But she forgot her wallet. What did she do?

Ans: She called Joanne Peh(Pay).

What did movie watchers say after watching the Da Vinci Code?

Ans: Tom Hanks for the memories, Hanks for the memories...

A hunter went into the forest equipped with only a rifle and 3 bullets. He hunted two deers and left one bullet. He then saw a huge gorilla sitting on the floor near a tree. He aimed and fired. The bullet missed but the gorilla was bleeding. Why?

Ans: The gorilla was digging his nose, and when the rifle fired with a loud crack, the gorilla jumped from shock and his finger poked deep inside his nose.

A taxi driver was doing his midnight shift. He went into this really empty road near a cemetery. He saw a lady flagging for the taxi. When the woman boarded, she told the taxi driver to just drive. While driving, the driver glanced at the rear view mirror. He couldn't see her. But when he turned around, she was there. After he drove over a hump, he glanced at the mirror again and saw the lady bleeding. Why?

Ans: She was digging her nose, so she ducked down behind the seat so the driver couldn't see her digging. But when the cab went over a hump, her finger went inside her nose deeply.

You gave a sigh of relieve as exams are over, but not yet. :D

& if you think you will fail your exams, don't give up on yourself.
Try, and try again.
You WILL succeed, if you believe in yourself.

A change doesn't start from anywhere or anything; it all comes from you, yourself.

Even if you keep failing a certain subject,
give it your best shot.
Improve on it.
Don't give up.

The worst thing is,
leaving blanks for questions.
This shows that you are rather LAZY to think,
than to do the question.
WHY?
Because it simply shows that you don't understand a single thing,
what the question is asking.

But if you try to solve the question,
and you got back your results.
This is the part where,
you WILL learn from your mistakes.

At least, your teacher, will know,
where to help you on,
as you have tried answering the questions,
but failed to understand them.

Maybe,
create a study group with your friends,
where you will get to together,
and hang out at the usual place,
but with a different motive.
to STUDY and HELP each other.

But,
take regular breaks.
Don't coop yourself up in the room,
studying like a mad person longing for success.

Indeed,
everyone wants success.
There is a way to get to the summit quickly,
if only you've change.

Taking breaks,
like,
go out to take a stroll, enjoy the fresh air.
do your favourite hobby during your free time.

Don't neglect your studies.
It is VERY important.
No matter if you've failed or pass,
learning doesn't ends when you finish your secondary school
or your polytechnic course.
Even adults,
who are working,
are still equipping themselves with new,
valuable information,
that would help them succeed further in life.

Why would I want to post such things?
Because,
I don't want to see anyone of you,
to feel regret about your results.

It is never too late to improve on yourself. If you have problems, go on, find your friends or teachers to teach help you understand a certain subject, better.

after typing this post,
I sincerely hope,
to those who may not have started studying,
to start studying.

to revise whatever you've learnt during curriculum time.

Cambodia Trip

Alright, this announcement is regarding the Sec 3s going Cambodia. Due to the downgrade of the outbreak alert from orange to yellow, the trip is still on, i repeat, THE TRIP IS STILL ON. Please kindly inform your parents about it. Also, if the outbreak alert goes up we will either be stranded there, or won't be allowed to go. So pray hard, cross your fingers and hope the alert level won't rise. Also, get the necessary vaccinations at nearby polyclinics for your trip.

Alright, i'm not here to post about the Morning Assembly....Ehs?! Morning Exercise program parody. Azmee will do that. I'm here to remind everybody on a few stuff. MYE has come.... Study hard, play hard. Take every single question seriously, try not to skip. At least attempt to do the question even if you don't know a single thing about it. Also, H1N1 Virus, or famously known as Swine Flu, is slowly being spread among the Western Countries. America announced that it's too late to contain it's outbreak there. So if you know everybody who has recently been or has been to Mexico or America, please request him or her to go the the hospital to check whether they contain that parasite. Take extra precautions and please upgrade your hygiene standards. Also, this info regards those going to Cambodia. Our trip maybe postponed or canceled due to the Babi Virus a.k.a Swine Flu. So please do inform your parents or something.

Basically, the meeting yesterday, the different levels kept to themselves. The sec 2s have lots and lots of events coming on. Sec 3s, we are doing the fund raising event for the Cambodia trip. We will be doing Cookies and all time favourites snacks. Will be selling them after exam and the order form will be passed around classes. Car wash is another idea. Will be doing it after exams too. Turn on your Sexy factor guys, and wash 'em cars good! On the 6th of June is our school's carnival, where the sec 3s will set up a photo taking booth. Come support, take pictures with your friends and the dress up person, which everybody said will be me. Due to my size again, i got 'sabohed' into that role. So anyway, i have the video that i wanted to show you guys.

Well done BasketBall Boys and Girls Team! They managed to clinch West Zone Champion after defeating Jurong Sec twice in a row simultaneously. Also, Sec 2 CCAC, Today you did great. Today's cheering at the Bukit Gombak Stadium left you, sweaty, hoarse and draggy. But this is your first event by yourselves, and you guys did great. But still, there are things to improve. Don't celebrate yet, as that was the appetizer of the course. And trust me, your 'course' will be tough, challenging and mind boggling. So be prepared. Here are a few pictures i managed to squeeze off.

Believe me, i had nightmares just looking at Ravin's eyes.

I have fixed the code for the navigations beside the picture. This is because the navigations won't work for Mozilla Firefox...

Now, it has been fixed with new codes and will work for both IE7/8, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.

CCAC Forum

Hello peeps,

How do you find the CCAC forum? Is it good or bad? Are most of you willing to sign up for the forum? Do you want to interact with your other peeps or teachers via the forum? Especially when you have lots of question to ask, but you simply don't know where to ask or who to ask?

That's some of the reason that the forum was created.

There are some advantages of being in the forum. Some are:

Interact with each other in the forum
Share your thoughts with your peeps in the forum
Publish your photos online in the gallery thread
24 hour online accesible forum
Different groups of people. Ranging from IC's to Teachers and also to Webmasters

But, there are also some disadvantages.

Everyone has to have an account, registered using their own name. So that we could trace who are you and can let you access to discussion board for your own level only.
Can have some misunderstandings
Not everyone will be online/has internet access to the forum

It's up to you to decide if you want to have the blog or not. Please give your comments about the suggestion. So far, majority voted that having a forum is alright. .
